Here Puppy!

Lately, I have been fantasizing about dogs... I always ask Mom and Dad when they are going to get a new dog, and it sounds like it might never happen. But that's ok! Because I have recently made a discovery (I've been making quite a bit of these since I moved away)... I can just get a dog! But not for a long while.

After going on that hike a couple weeks ago to the hot springs, I have been itching to get outside more. I go to school, and work my tail end off. So when I get the occasional day off, or I have a few hours to spare, I just want to go outside. However: I just finished reading the autobiography about the man that went hiking alone in the Canyonlands, and got his arm stuck behind a rock, and he had to cut it off in order to survive, and it's made me so paranoid. Every time I think about going for a hike, I'm convinced I might get eaten by a mountain lion, or I'll fall down a cliff, or hit my head and drown in a river. As much as I don't like i…

Fifth Water Hot Springs

Today was different. I got a day off of work :) After talking to a friend who is a frequent visitor of the Hot Springs in Spanish Fork, I decided to go check them out.

The trail was absolutely beautiful. If it weren't for the cold, I might be able to live in Utah forever.

The closer I got to the actual hot pots, the murkier the water got.

It took me about 2 hours to get to the hot springs, and I probably spent about 30 or so minutes actually in the water. It wasn't as great as I thought it would be. A lot of the other pots were taken, and since I was by myself, I didn't want to just hop right in with a bunch of people that I didn't know. So I settled for a secluded spot behind a big rock, right next to a waterfall. The springs right next to the waterfall are some of the hottest, and I could definitely tell.
The waterfall was cold, and but the springs were scalding, and you'd think combined that they would make the perfect temperature, but instead all I got were rushes …

Christmas Break :)

Christmas break was wonderful. Dad surprised us all by showing up a day and a half early, so it was nice to get to spend some extra time with him :)

The lights on Temple Square were an absolute must see. They are gorgeous!

Of course we also had to make a stop to In-N-Out (even though I don't eat the meat ha ha ha).
I am so so so grateful that they got to come up and visit. I have missed my parents so much! I miss Mom's singing, and Dad's jokes. I am hoping that I can make a trip home in May. I can't wait to see them again!

A break from school was nice, but I must admit that I was very excited to go back. I love my Aveda friends. They make me laugh everyday. I really am lucky to be going to school with these girls! You'd think that 9am-7pm, 3 days a week would be enough, but we love hanging out outside of school.
And finally, probably the best news all week... I got a new job! I don't think I have ever felt relief like this before! I couldn't stand my other job, …
