This week I have been very grateful for my family. I have the best family. We're kind of an odd bunch, each of us has very different and distinct characteristics, but combined, we have a lot of fun together. It's just too bad that we don't often have that time that we are all together.

I was very lucky to get to spend a week with Caroline's family. She has one of the most beautiful families I think I've ever seen, and I'm not just saying that because she's my sister and I'm biased. D has a very pure and sensitive soul, so unlike most six year olds, and he's also very intelligent. I look up to Caroline and Jonathan so much for how they have raised him. He is going to grow into a very responsible, and hard working young man.
A is going to be a heart breaker. It's not very often that you see a small child and find that "beautiful" is a better description for her than "cute". A has got a lot of spirit. She's got a good set of lungs, and she can throw a fit that rivals the ones her mother used to have. It's a good thing, too. She's going to have a lot of boys on her tail, and a little stubbornness to ward them off with will be useful.
P is a cutie. And I mean a real cutie. And he's such a happy baby! I've never met a happier baby. I can see him being more of the mellow type.
I expected this visit to be more of a vacation type of visit, and I did do a lot of relaxing, but more than anything, I learned. I'm so glad that I had a sister like her come before me, and show me the way. When the day comes, and I have my own family, I'm so grateful that I have women in my life like her to look up to.

I'm sorry that I don't have any pictures of my visit with them. You can always check Caroline's blog for them. She's got plenty :)

Now I'm in Texas! It's warm, it's sunny, the trees have exploded into full on summer, and I feel so moisturized! I miss humidity. It's great to be home :)

Graduation Recap

I suppose I should mention that my family took time out of their busy lives to come to my graduation recently ;)

It was perfect timing. We were able to celebrate my birthday and graduation at the same time. Quite the treat :)

I'm going to miss my school friends, but I am SO stoked for Philmont, and UVU, and everything else, that I think it's keeping all the tears at bay. I know I'll still see all my hair school friends. In fact, I've already spent time with them in just the past couple weeks, so really what do I have to be sad about?

Mom always does her research on the best places to eat, and this one definitely gets 5 stars. It's called Station 22, in downtown Provo. Here, Mom is enjoying her Chicken and Waffles. It was a lovely Birthday dinner. Mom and Dad got me a ton of Cycling gear, and I CAN'T WAIT to use it!

In other news, I went and saw Jurassic Park in 3D with Holly and Gared the other night.

I don't know that I've ever mentioned it, but Jurassic Park is my absolute favorite movie. Well, it might actually tie with Pride and Prejudice.

We had "Battle at the Waffle" the other night. It's a break dancing competition. The shop was so unbelievably packed.

The dude in the stripes one the entire competition, and I learned the next day that he was a contestant on So You Think You Can Dance. Pretty cool, huh?

I took my written test yesterday. And I passed! Yay!

I think this was the first year that I managed to watch (and stay awake for) all 4 sessions of Conference. I couldn't resist posting all of these Mormon Memes that popped up after Conference of all over. So funny!

Though I managed to stay awake for every session, I seriously needed to walk off some energy afterward. It's a long day of sitting on a couch!

McKenzie and I walked to the nearest park and enjoyed a few minutes with the swings.

It's starting to green up a little bit, and the trees are blooming. It's been rainy, but fairly warm out. I hope this means spring is here for real!
